SD10G, M11X, and receivers

To all you Airtronics fans, I have great news. I have received confirmation from the factory that our shipment of SD10G the newest and finest 10 Channel radio we have ever tested, and the M11X which is the fastest, most feature packed car radio in the world have shipped by air tonight. This is our 3rd shipment of the M11X have almost sold out this shipment like the first two. Receivers are coming as well. The not so good news on the SD10G is that we will not be able to fill all orders with this shipment. Airtronics is working around the clock to build these radios so we can support all of our customers. Thank you again all you Airtonics fans, I think you will be excited as we are to receive your new radios.

Electric vs. Nitro

Over the past few years the interest in RC electric airplanes, helicopters, and cars has grown steadily. However, in the past 12 months, the transition has exploded. Every day the percentages of electric compared to nitro grows. I understand the interest in electric, but I am surprised by how quickly the transition is occurring. So, I am asking all of you who read my blog to let me know what they are using, and why. Personally, we are running electric trucks now, and were running nitro a few years ago, but my son and I will have a nitro buggy as our next project. We are interested in the brushless electric, but for now, the nitro fascination is calling us.

Airtronics M11x

This is one of those mea culpa posts. The Airtronics M11x is one of the most important new R/C radios in the last 5 years, and we just did not order enough. We have received 2 shipments in the last 2 weeks, and yet still can’t keep these radios in stock. I am really sorry for this, and please know that we have more on order, and to best serve you, we are air freighting the shipments. I believe we will receive our next shipment within the next few days.

Demand has been shockingly high, and we were actually caught off guard by the amount of orders. The number of racers and drivers who just want the best radio has been incredible, and I want to thank all of our customers for your support and please know we are doing everything we can do to serve you better. The hobby has never seen a car radio with the advanced programming, ergonomics, and sheer speed. We have seen an unprecedented number of pro drivers requesting Airtronics Sponsorship because the racers know that this radio is a true competitive advantage, and they are right! This is one of those radios that you have to hold to feel the quality, and use to feel the incredible performance. New Video of SD10g

Today, Hobby People teamed with Airtronics and posted a video on youtube featuring the new Airtronics SD-10g radio. Click here. This is our 1st product video, and I think its a great beginning. As you know, we are really excited to be releasing this newest Airplane radio, which we believe is a true game changer in the 10 Channel category. The video is an introduction into the programming and features and I think really interesting. The first shipment is almost sold out, and I hope, demand will keep it in limited supply for a while. If you can think it, hobbyists do it!

So tonight I was doing some hobby searches and I found a video of a modeler who modified a XTM MMT to reach top speeds of 75mph+++++. This is crazy, a monster truck is insane at this speed. Click here to check out the video. Pretty cool and this is what makes the hobby so cool. If you can dream it, you can do it. From plastics, to helicopters, to cars, to planes, to boats, the hobby has something to offer anyone who has imagination. Very cool indeed. Airtronics SD-10g Ready to Go

How cool is this, today, Team Airtronics pilots in coordination with chief R&D Leader Mike G. have given final approval of programming to Airtronics. What does this mean?, well, final assembly and chip programming will begin tomorrow, and the SD-10g should be in stock within 30 days. This radio has been one of the greatest achievements as we had more than 100 pilots participating in choosing features, programming testing, ergonomic and design ideas, and flight testing.
